Hey Angelique Collections Family,
You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet lately—no new blog posts, podcast episodes from Business Minded with Angie B, or even much social media activity. I promise it’s not because I’ve disappeared or lost my creative spark. Quite the opposite, actually! I’ve been head-down, hands-deep, and soul-focused preparing for something very special: my very first Palmer Park Art Fair!
Yes, you read that right! I’ll be vending at the Palmer Park Art Fair in Detroit from May 31st to June 1st, and I couldn’t be more excited—or more nervous. This is my first time participating in this kind of event, and let me tell you… it’s been a journey.
For months I’ve been going back and forth: What should I make? Should I take more handbags or more accessories? How do I want to set up my booth? Should I include some of my original artwork? Do I need shelves? Do I need lighting? It’s been a whirlwind of decisions and late-night crafting sessions.
And now, with only a few days left, I still feel like I’m not ready. My list of things to do keeps growing—especially since I decided to display some of my original artwork (yes, I’ve been painting too!). My booth dreams are big, and sometimes I wish I had just a little more time or just one more display stand. But even in the midst of the chaos, I know this weekend is going to be absolutely amazing.
I’ll be surrounded by other incredibly creative souls—some I already know, and many I can’t wait to meet. There’s something magical about being in a space filled with people who live and breathe creativity. It’s inspiring, energizing, and exactly the kind of community I’ve been craving.
And speaking of community, here’s a little dream I’ve been holding in my heart: I would love to start a community of creative artists—people who truly want to collaborate, not compete. A group where we can share ideas, support one another, and celebrate each other’s wins. No jealousy, just genuine love and encouragement. Maybe that sounds idealistic, but you know what? Dreams can and do come true—especially when you speak them out loud.
So, if you’re in the Detroit area this weekend, come by and say hello at Palmer Park. Come see the original pieces, the one-of-a-kind accessories, and the handmade handbags that I’ve poured so much love into. And who knows? Maybe you’ll walk away not just with something beautiful—but also with a spark of inspiration.
Thank you for your patience, your support, and for always cheering me on. I can’t wait to share photos, stories, and new creations with you after the fair.
With love and creative energy,
Angela B.
