About the Artist & Founder

I’m Angela Boone, aka Angie B, the artist and founder behind Angelique Collections. My journey into creating one-of-a-kind handbags and wearable art wasn’t something I planned—it was something that found me during one of the hardest seasons of my life.

Shortly after being laid off from my job, my world shifted again when my father had a stroke. My mother and I became his full-time caregivers, and everything in my life changed. In the midst of caregiving, grieving, and trying to find my footing, I turned to something I’ve always loved—handbags.

With no money to buy new materials, I looked around the house and pulled together what I had—old magazines and newspapers. I sat at my kitchen table and began creating what I thought would be just mock-ups of future designs. But something surprising happened: people loved the bags just as they were. What started as a creative outlet and a form of therapy began to spark interest. Friends and strangers alike started asking to buy them.

Looking back, I realize that all those years studying Interior Design in college—drawing floor plans, understanding structure, form, and flow—had quietly prepared me for this moment. That training helped me develop my own custom handbag patterns with precision and style. It was a full-circle moment I didn’t see coming.

From those early paper creations, Angelique Collections was born. I evolved from crafting with paper to working with canvas, denim, leather, and paint—each bag more expressive and meaningful than the last. Over time, I added accessories and 3D wearable art, always keeping the focus on individuality, craftsmanship, and heart.

This journey later led to the launch of Extraordinary D, a bold streetwear extension of Angelique Collections. With hand-painted hoodies and oversized embroidered designs, it’s all about empowering people to make a statement, both in style and in spirit.

Everything I create is rooted in faith and love. When you carry one of my bags or wear one of my pieces, you’re not just holding fashion—you’re holding a piece of my story, and a reminder that beauty can be born from even the most challenging times.
